Modern Gem in Cooper-Young: Remodeled Haven

Very close to where I was working. Would consider again. Positive: Delay getting in cause it wasn't cleaned yet Negative: See above

Positive: - Close proximity to downtown Memphis - Close proximity to the airport - Quiet neighborhood - Inside the house was clean Negative: - The previous guest left several cigarette buds on the patio, and the house smelled of cigarette smell - Not enough towels for the number of guests - The toilet and bathroom door was too close and made it hard using the bathroom comfortly.

The good: Host was very responsive throughout the process. The location is perfect for walking to some great food/music in the area.Having said that, we moved out after the first night knowing that we might not get the money back for unused nights. The smell of weed and neighbors fighting all night long did it in for us. I can't say that is a normal issue for this unit, but we didn't feel safe/secure, much less comfortable here. In all fairness, the host offered to relocate us to a different rental, but we had had enough at that point.In addition to the drama, there is zero privacy in this unit and with all of the shared spaces and paper-thin walls, it did not feel like it lived up to VRBO's "entire place, just for you" philosophy.

Great location! Manager communicates well. Our first intro to the place was opening the downstairs entry door … and it basically fell out of the frame! I pushed the screws back into the hinges by hand, but the door did not lock properly because it is not screwed into the frame. The studio is cute, but there are NO bedrooms that have doors or privacy. The double bed is in the entryway, and the small single is in a sun room with glass doors. No privacy to change anywhere. Also, the bathroom door will not close because it hits the front of the toilet before it shuts … so no privacy on the toilet either! Good spot for a couple college buddies going to a game that don’t care about privacy!

Negative: The tv did not work properly. Host advised that someone would come out to fix it but never did. The door to the bathroom did not close due to the placement of the toilet. Clothing items were left in the dryer.
